NICU Portraits
Perhaps you were planning on a newborn photographer capturing beautiful portraits of you and your new baby before they decided to make their untimely appearance in this big world. Well now, it's still possible. Krista gifts NICU families with a little normalcy in their unique and challenging journey.
Krista is a registered nurse in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). In 2016, she created a program to offer free portrait sessions to families with babies in neonatal intensive care units in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Pierce's Project graciously helped get this project rolling! In 2021, Pierce’s Project was acquired by Bee Mighty, providing even more support to families in Charlotte area NICUs. Bee Mighty funds NICU portraits and the program has expanded to serve families at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital and Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital.
